RUCKERSVILLE ADVISORY COMMITTEE: MEMBERS NEEDED
The Ruckersville Area Plan, adopted June 12, 2018, is a community-driven, small area plan which is committed to a long-term and sustained process that includes public and private stakeholders. The Ruckersville Advisory Committee consisting of community-minded volunteers that help foster information sharing for citizens, business owners, and County government. The committee holds regular meetings, the 2nd Thursday of every month from 7:00 pm-8:00 pm, to ensure implementation of the Ruckersville Area Plan recommendations.

The U.S. Census Bureau is recruiting thousands of people across the country to assist with the 2020 Census. The majority of positions are for door-to-door Census Takers in the Spring/Summer of 2020. These are field positions with flexible schedules and pay $15.00/hour in Greene County, in addition to a $0.58/mile reimbursement for personal vehicle use. The job application takes about 20 minutes to complete and is processed online at <2020census.gov/jobs>. It includes assessment questions about education, work, and other experience. The County of Greene is accepting proposals for the staffing of Emergency Medical Services to serve all of Greene County 24/7/365. Proposals are to be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked: Emergency Medical Services. No e-mailed or faxed proposals will be accepted.
