The Greene County Commonwealth’s Attorney has an opening for a part-time Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney. Responsibilities will include prosecution of misdemeanor and felony crimes in all three of Greene County’s courts, with a focus on crimes involving domestic violence, sexual abuse, stalking, and family abuse. Applicants must be licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and must be able to demonstrate exceptional writing and legal research ability. This position is funded by a VSDVVF grant. Prior experience as a prosecutor, judicial clerk, or magistrate preferred but not required. 20 hours required weekly. Annual pay is $41,770 with no benefits.
